Every dog in our care deserves a daily walk and playtime. Every cat deserves to be petted, talked to, and loved. With the support of dependable, caring volunteers, we can make that happen for every animal at our no kill shelter. Whether you have an hour a week or more, your time can bring joy, comfort, and hope to dogs and cats who didn’t ask to be confined to a kennel. From walking dogs to socializing cats, you will be making a real difference in their lives.

As a new shelter, we are building our volunteer program from the ground up — and you can be part of shaping it. By giving your time, you help ensure every dog gets the walks and playtime they need, and every cat enjoys the affection and socialization that make them better companions. With dependable, caring volunteers, we can provide the daily enrichment and love that every animal in our no kill shelter deserves.

Animal Care
You can help by walking dogs, cleaning and socializing with cats, or opening your home to foster a pet in need
Shelter Support
Volunteers are needed to assist with the daily upkeep of the shelter and to help with administrative or computer-based tasks.
Community Outreach
Support our mission by representing us at events, transporting animals to appointments or adoption days, and working with rescue organizations to find homes for our pets.
Fundraising & Grant Support
Help NNPP grow by identifying funding opportunities, writing grants, or supporting donor outreach. A great option for detail-oriented volunteers who want to make a big behind-the-scenes impact.
